The entire globe is under the Coronavirus pandemic and there is a nationwide lockdown imposed by the central government in order to flatten the curb and do away with the virus. However, recently, we came to know how Maharashtra is one of the worst-hit places by COVID-19 and Mumbai has become the epicenter of it all.

Keeping that in mind Shah Rukh Khan and Gauri Khan had decided to give up their office located in Khar Mumbai, to be turned into a quarantine center for BMC. This move was welcome and appreciated by the BMC. They expressed gratitude and posted a thank you note for them. Gauri and Shah Rukh both had also reciprocated to this thank you note, by terming it their responsibility.

But it’s been a month now and office premises of this couple still remains unused due to the lack of doctors as per reports in Mumbai Mirror. Well, reportedly, Congress leader and corporator for this zone, Asif Zakaria also dragged BMC for the lack in the facility and suggesting to ask the private practitioners to join the front-line workers. Hoping to ultimately put the facilities provided in these tough times to use. Reports also stated of receiving no reply from SRK and his team on his issue

Asif Zakaria was quoted by Mumbai Mirror as saying, “On one hand there is a severe shortage of beds for COVID patients and even those with other ailments, and on the other hand an entire building is not being utilized. The BMC must do something about this; rope in private practitioners, get in touch with hospitals, but the facility must be used. This crisis is not going to pass in a hurry; it will take its time and its toll on all of us. It will also show us that there isn’t really a choice between looking out for ourselves and looking out for one another.”

He further went on to state, there’s nothing more obvious in the spread of this pandemic than the fact that each one of us is inextricably connected to each other, without any distinction and that he is going to try his best and that he knows each one of the general public will do so too. The corporator concluded by saying, only together everyone will be able to emerge victorious through these difficult and unimaginable days
