One by one, the Bollywood stars are coming ahead to help the needy. Sonu Sood has already set the example and now many Bollywood is following the path. Recent developments suggest that Amitabh Bachchan is now sending 10 buses for UP based migrants.
The buses were set to leave certain towns and from those towns, the workers will have to go to their villages themselves.
Suhail Khandwani Managing Trustee, Mahim Dargah and Trustee Haji Ali dargah, Rajesh Yadav, Managing director AB Corporation Ltd., flagged off the buses from Haji Ali dargah and Mahim dargah.
The fleet of ten buses carried 250 migrants with keeping social distancing in mind. Each bus has 52 seats and only 25-26 people were allowed to sit on a bus.
“It was the brainchild of Bachchan Sahab, who has been deeply concerned by the sufferings of the migrants since the lockdown. He made a proposal and the Haji Ali Dargah and Mahim Dargah responded by offering to make all the arrangements,” Sabir Sayed, Mahim Dargah’s IT-Director told IANS.
As the reports suggest, Amitabh Bachan has been feeding hundreds of migrants and taking care of their medical conditions from the last two weeks. The migrants had developed sores or blisters on their legs due to prolong walking under the scorching sun on vast highways.
