The COVID-19 pandemic has forced everyone to stay indoors and Bollywood too is staying indoors. All the Bollywood actors are home quarantined and so are Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt.

The wedding discussion of the lovebirds, Ranbir and Alia is always making headlines despite the death news of Ranbir’s dad Rishi Kapoor. Both Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor were all set to tie the knot by the end of this year. The big fat Kapoor khaandaan wedding celebrations were to begin from 21st December 2020.

However, due to the global coronavirus pandemic and the demise of Ranbir Kapoor’s dad, Rishi Kapoor, the wedding will probably not happen this year and instead will be postponed to the next year.Rajeev Masand’s column in the Open Magazine suggests, some close friends of the couple asked them to postpone their wedding to next year as this year would be a bit difficult because social distancing guidelines have to be in place. And the Kapoor family is also in no mood to host any celebratory event this year.

Not just Ranbir-Alia, actor, Varun Dhawan and his girlfriend Natasha Dalal, who were also geared up for their Thailand wedding this year, will have to postpone it in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic. On the work front, Ranbir and Alia have collaborated for the first time for Ayan Mukerji’s ‘Brahmastra’, which was also slated for a 4th December, ’20 release. Now, we will have to wait and see whether the movie’s release date will be impacted by the pandemic. The shooting of ‘Brahmastra’ was on hold due to the complete lockdown, therefore again, most probably, the release of the film too will have to be carried forward to the next year.
