Rajnikanth was conferred with the prestigious Dada Saheb Phalke Award recently. Congratulatory messages for the actor have been flooding social media since then. Boney Kapoor, Nivetha Thomas and Chiranjeevi Konidela have been among the few who wished the actor on his latest victory.
The Prime Minister of India had also taken to his social media to congratulate the actor. “Popular across generations, a body of work few can boast of, diverse roles and an endearing personality… that’s Shri @rajinikanth Ji for you. It is a matter of immense joy that Thalaiva has been conferred with the Dadasaheb Phalke Award. Congratulations to him,” he wrote.
Bollywood actor Ranveer Singh replied to the tweet and congratulated Rajnikanth on his Twitter handle. He tweeted, “Congratulations to the one and only #Thalaiva.”

Rajnikanth also took to Twitter to thank the government of India for conferring the award on him.

Thanks to the almighty,” he stated in his tweet.
