Apple Intelligence, which powers Siri and other AI-driven functions across Apple’s ecosystem, has been a core part of the company’s strategy to integrate artificial intelligence into everyday tasks.
Apple’s VP of Hardware Technologies, Johny Srouji, revealed in a recent interview that the iPhone 16 lineup, including the 16 Pro Max, features 8GB of RAM. This increase is pivotal for supporting Apple Intelligence and enhances performance for demanding tasks like high-end gaming.
However, what’s drawing even more attention is the delayed rollout of Apple’s AI-powered features, which are expected to be pivotal to the iPhone 16 experience.
Additionally, the new model offers improved thermal management and faster data transfer capabilities, addressing some of the technical shortcomings seen in previous iterations.
The iPhone 16, set to debut later this year, is expected to include significant upgrades centered around Apple Intelligence, a new suite of AI tools designed to enhance user experience.
Using Apple’s advanced machine learning algorithms, users can now effortlessly retrieve photos, videos, and other personal moments from their device’s library.
While the initial rollout of iOS 18 will feature several AI tools like Clean Up and writing assistance, fans eager for Image Playground and Genmoji will have to wait until December for the iOS 18.2 update. These two flagship AI features are part of Apple's larger push into AI-driven functionalities for iPhones.
The iPhone 16 is expected to feature significant upgrades, including a new camera design, the introduction of the Action Button across all models, and 40W wired charging capabilities.
Among the notable names withdrawing from Apple’s AI training are heavyweights like The New York Times, CNN among others.
