On Saturday, Israel Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu declared that the country is at war with Palestine. The announcement comes after the nation was caught up in a surprise attack, which was claimed by Palestinian militant group Hamas, which has control over Gaza.
President Joe Biden issued statement regarding the ongoing war, which has been a result of long going conflict. “This morning, I spoke with Prime Minister Netanyahu about the horrific and ongoing attacks in Israel. The United States unequivocally condemns this appalling assault against Israel by Hamas terrorists from Gaza,” stated the president.
He further added that Israel has a right to defend itself and the US government shall provide “all appropriate means of support to the Government and people of Israel.”
Earlier, it was reported that the rocket attacks launched by Hamas claimed life of one and injured hundreds.
Later in the day, at least 198 Palestinians were killed during the ongoing war.
