Meta is rolling out new features for WhatsApp group chats. The goal is to make conversations more useful and less confusing, especially in large groups.

One new feature lets users add custom tags for themselves. These tags can be different in every group. This helps people understand who is who. It is useful in school groups, parent groups, clubs, or local communities. A person can show one role in one group and a completely different role in another.

WhatsApp is also adding text stickers. Users can now turn any word into a sticker. This is done by typing the text into the sticker search option. The sticker can be saved right away without sending it in a chat first.

Another update focuses on events inside group chats. When someone creates an event, they can now set early reminders. These reminders help group members remember meetings, calls, or parties before they happen.

These new tools build on features WhatsApp already offers. Groups already support large file sharing, high quality photos and videos, screen sharing, and voice chats. The latest updates are meant to make group communication smoother and more organized.
