One of the most anticipated supernatural teen dramas to grace Paramount+, School Spirits has created an exhilarating combination of suspense, life-after-death scenarios, and high school drama surrounding Maddie Nears and her group of ghosts at Split River High. Fans cannot wait for Season 4 to be released, which contains even more dangerous twists and turns (like switching bodies), heart-pounding cliff hangers, emotional conclusions, and suspenseful ghost stories told from beyond the grave, after the jaw-dropping end of Season Three’s finale on March 4th, 2026.
‘School Spirits ’ returning for Season 4? What We Know So Far
Paramount+ has yet to announce whether there will be a Season 4 of the series; however, the series has not been canceled as of now. Per multiple sources (TV Insider, Cosmopolitan, Decider, etc.), the series is still waiting for an official announcement.
If the announcement is made soon, Season 4 could premiere sometime in early 2027 based on historical release patterns (Season 3—premiered in early 2026 after being renewed in 2025).
“Kristian Ventura” (Simon) recently provided a positive update when speaking with TechRadar, stating that the “cliffhanger from the Season 3 finale is going to break everybody’s phones” and that “there’s clearly a great deal still left to be explored”. He also shared that “I think the series will go on and I hope it will“—although he did not provide any formal confirmations.
At this point, the series is still popular and enjoys dramatic growth in its viewer totals across prior seasons; Pursuant to the extremely conflicting barriers of the Season 3 finale (i.e. Maddie, the spirit world, and the problems regarding the school), the series remains active in meaningful discussions on Reddit; and based on prevailing discussions among fans, they tend to believe that the series will have one more season (possibly the last) to conclude all existing storylines properly that were introduced during the series’ previous seasons.
