Fans can rest easy: “Euphoria” isn’t going anywhere. On Friday, an HBO representative shut down rumors that the show’s third season had been delayed or canceled, calling them “absolutely false.” According to the source, production on Season 3 remains set to begin in January 2025.
HBO initially announced in July that production for “Euphoria” Season 3 would start in January 2025, following a previous delay in March, when the cast was permitted to pursue other projects. On Friday, however, news broke that Zendaya joined Christopher Nolan’s next film, slated for a summer 2026 release, sparking rumors that the popular HBO series was in jeopardy due to potential scheduling conflicts.
But HBO reassured fans that these speculations are unfounded, confirming that “Euphoria” Season 3 is still moving forward. The main cast, including Zendaya, Jacob Elordi, Sydney Sweeney, Alexa Demie, Maude Apatow, and Hunter Schafer, is expected to return.
In a statement from July, Francesca Orsi, EVP of HBO programming and head of drama series and films, expressed her excitement: “I am thrilled that we are ready to begin production on ‘Euphoria’ in January. We could not be happier with our creative partnership with Sam and this incredible cast. We look forward to bringing this new season of ‘Euphoria’ to life for the fans.”
