The Luna III banner in Genshin Impact has some of the best and most popular characters in the game. There are two new characters and a few returning favorites. Many players are confused about who to pull first. Here’s a guide to help you decide.
Durin should be your top choice. He is one of the best Pyro sub-DPS characters in the game. He is simple to play and fits well in many teams. Durin boosts damage for all Pyro reactions. If you play a team focused on Vaporize, you should definitely go for him.
Next is Xilonen. She is a strong support character. Her abilities include team-wide buffs, healing, shields, and interruption resistance. She works best with Natlan characters. If you already have Natlan characters and don’t have Xilonen, she should be your priority after Durin.
Venti comes after Xilonen. He received buffs in the Luna III update, making him a better Anemo DPS than Xiao and Wanderer. His new abilities allow him to shoot arrows that go through enemies, causing massive Swirl damage. Venti is now a strong pick for anyone who wants a powerful Anemo character.
Finally, there’s Varesa. She is a fun but more limited DPS character. She works best with Iansan in her team. Her abilities mainly focus on Overload reactions. Because of this, she is last on the pull order.
Should you skip the Luna III banner? The banner has very strong characters, so it’s tempting to pull. Durin is versatile, Xilonen is valuable, Venti is a fan favorite, and Varesa is fun to play.
However, skipping Luna III could save your Primogems for the next update, Luna IV. Luna IV will feature Columbina and two new Lantern Rite characters. Columbina is expected to be a very strong support for Lunar reaction teams. If you want her and don’t have enough Primogems for both banners, it’s better to skip Luna III.
If you care more about quality and don’t mind spending on Luna III, Durin and Xilonen are excellent pulls.
