Fans have been highly anticipating Fauda, an international sensation among OTT shows, because of its dramatic depiction of the struggles faced by members of the elite unit of Israeli undercover agents. Season 5 of the series will feature continuing adventures of the agents as they carry out their missions under artificially created stress. The season will also be reflective of the heroes’ emotional journey as they deal with the long-lasting effects of their actions during their dangerous careers, along with added storylines pertaining to the complicated parent-child and intergenerational relationships that occur throughout the series. Fauda Season 5: Release Date Buzz
Season five’s production started at the end of April 2025, after preproduction activities were finished. The new season will air first on Yes TV in Israel, expected in early 2026. After Yes TV airs it, it will be available worldwide on Netflix by the end of 2026 (no exact date has been said yet). As of March 2026, there are still no details published for its premiere date (e.g., month and day) in either country; however, the premise indicates that this series is slated to launch on Yes TV at the beginning of 2026 and on Netflix soon after.
The primary filming locations are located both in Israel and abroad. Due to safety reasons, some parts of Season 5 originally scheduled for filming in Marseille have switched their filming locations to Budapest.

Details related to how the season will be developed are currently being held under wraps; however, it will address the real-world consequences of the October 7, 2023, Hamas attacks and war. According to Co-Creator Lior Raz, the season is focused on characters and the nation of Israel’s “post-trauma” experiences from these attacks that have had both psychological and operational effects.
The storyline will be split between locations within Israel and abroad as the Fauda team embarks on their own private mission. The original plan for Season 4 was modified over a period of close to one (1) year to reflect changes made due to the October 7, 2023, Hamas attacks, and each episode now has some connection to those events, rather than continuing with the original plan of developing episodes before the attacks were conducted.
This new season of Fauda will consist of nine (9) episodes, maintaining a similar level of intensity, ethical dilemmas, and action sequences as previous seasons of the show.
