Fallout Season 3 is officially confirmed and in pre-production, following the strong success of Seasons 1 and 2 on Prime Video. Season 2 premiered in December 2025 and concluded in early 2026.
Fallout Season 3: Release Date
At this point, there has not been an official premiere date announced. The start date for filming is set for May 1st, 2026, in Santa Clarita, California (With Jonathan Nolan being one of several producers, along with Graham Wagner and Geneva Robertson-Dworet being showrunners). Frederick E.O. Toye will be directing.
Given previous season production calendars (for example Season 2 shot approximately from Nov. 2024 until around May 2025 then aired Dec 2025) thus making it very reasonable to anticipate a mid- to late-2027 air date (possibly as early as spring/summer if the post production process doesn’t take much time), therefore also resulting in a much shorter timeframe than what occurred between season 1 and 2.

Fallout Season 3: Plot Details and Teasers
There’s no official summary for Season 3 yet, which makes it hard to know what arcs will be picked up from Season 2’s finale (NOTE: spoilers to come!):
– Lucy and Maximus stay together and continue their adventures in the wasteland.
– The Ghoul has his sights set on Colorado to locate his family; they’ve been connected to the Enclave (there may be some disconnection/sidelining with the Enclave regarding FEV experiments and “Phase Two”).
– The war has come to New Vegas; a reunited Caesars Legion (now headed by Culkin’s Caesar) will march against the New California Republic (NCR) for control of the city.
– Vault-Tec/Enclave mysteries will deepen with Hank’s mind wiped, Steph’s connections to the Enclave, and broader faction conflicts (Brotherhood of Steel internal strife/conflict).
– The showrunners of the show have confirmed that season three will contain more of the game elements that the showrunners have wanted since season one, expanding regions and increasing the story’s scale.
– The series will continue combining pre-war flashbacks with post-apocalyptic survival, humor, and violence, as well as building on Bethesda’s Fallout universe while finding its lane.
