Energy prices are moving in different directions today. Short term pressure is clearly visible. But long term numbers are still very strong for many commodities. Some are falling sharply while others are showing strong gains.

Crude oil drops 3.12 percent while Brent slips 1.52 percent

Crude oil is trading at 95.987 USD per barrel. It is down by 3.12 percent today. Weekly losses are deep at 15.03 percent. But the yearly trend is still positive. It has gained 67.15 percent this year and 56.49 percent over the last year.

Brent crude is also down. It is trading at 97.849 USD. Daily loss stands at 1.52 percent. Weekly decline is 10.43 percent. Still it has gained 60.84 percent YTD and 51.34 percent YoY.

Gasoline is at 3.0801 USD. It has dropped 1.15 percent today. Heating oil is also down 1.03 percent. Despite this, both are showing strong yearly gains of 79.99 percent and 78.16 percent.

Coal is one of the few gainers today. It is up 0.41 percent. Yearly growth stands at 41.83 percent.

Natural gas falls 29.26 percent YTD while TTF and UK gas drop over 5 percent today

Natural gas is under strong pressure. It is down 0.74 percent today. Monthly decline is 13.75 percent. Year to date loss is 29.26 percent. Yearly drop is 21.68 percent.

TTF gas is down 5.03 percent today. Weekly loss is 17.24 percent. UK gas is also falling fast. It is down 5.41 percent today and 18.20 percent for the week.

German gas is an exception. It is up 4.62 percent today. But monthly trend is still negative at 8.88 percent.

LNG JKM remains strong. It is slightly up today. Year to date gain is massive at 102.39 percent. Yearly growth stands at 55.27 percent.

Urals oil surges 139.53 percent YoY while naphtha gains 90.89 percent YTD

Urals oil is one of the top performers. It is up 5.37 percent today. Monthly growth is 28.72 percent. Year to date gain is 139.53 percent. Yearly growth is 103.16 percent.

Naphtha is also strong. It is up 3.35 percent today. Monthly growth is 14.36 percent. Year to date gain is 90.89 percent.

Propane is rising too. It is up 3.51 percent today. It has gained 23.39 percent this year. Methanol shows a mixed trend. It is down 1.67 percent today but up 42.56 percent YTD.

Uranium is slightly down by 0.47 percent. But yearly growth is still solid at 32.61 percent.

The overall market shows one clear pattern. Short term pressure is high across energy. But long term growth remains strong in many commodities. The gap between winners and losers is getting wider.
