Michelle Pfeiffer is feeling excited about the coming year. She wants to slow down and spend more time being a loving grandmother. She became a grandmother for the first time last year. She shared that her daughter, Claudia Rose, is the one who had the baby in 2024.

Michelle said she feels very grateful for her work and all the great people she has worked with recently. But she also said she had no idea her daughter was planning to have a baby. When it happened, her priorities changed immediately. She now wants to be more present for her family.

Michelle explained that she plans to take most of 2026 off. She said she wants to spend her time in a meaningful way. She laughed about how lucky she feels, even though she has been working nonstop. She wants the time she has left to be used well and with purpose.

Michelle has two children. She adopted Claudia right before marrying her husband, David E. Kelley. Their son, John Henry, was born in 1994. Michelle said earlier this year that becoming a grandmother feels like heaven. She said it is such a special feeling that she wishes she had known everything it would bring. She shared that she would have taken on less work if she had known a grandchild was coming, but she still loved every project she did.

One of those projects is her new holiday movie, “Oh What Fun,” which she stars in with Felicity Jones. The film comes out on December third on Prime Video. The story follows Claire, a mom who holds her big, messy, loving family together every holiday season. Michelle said she did not expect to act in a Christmas movie. But she loves the director Michael Showalter, and after reading the script, she felt it was a beautiful tribute to moms.

She said the movie honors all the women who make the holidays special every year. She talked about how mothers often do everything without much recognition. She said she grew up seeing her own mother do it, and she naturally took on the same role. She said she has always enjoyed doing it, but it feels nice to see that effort celebrated.

Felicity Jones also shared that this was her first holiday movie. She said she loved the mix of humor and emotion in the script and felt drawn to the story right away.
