Samsung is working on its first ever tri foldable device. It will likely be called the Galaxy Z TriFold. This name came from a trusted leaker, Evan Blass, who shared the details on X. The TriFold name fits well with Samsung’s Z series and suggests a brand new type of foldable. Some people thought Samsung might use a new Galaxy G name, but that now seems unlikely.
Tri fold phones are not a new idea. Huawei and Tecno have already shown versions of them. Huawei even has a second generation model, but it is not widely available. This gives Samsung a strong chance to enter the market in a big way.
Early leaks give us a clear picture of what to expect. The Galaxy Z TriFold may have a six point five inch cover screen. When you unfold it fully, it can turn into a ten inch display. The back camera could be a two hundred megapixel main sensor. The battery is also expected to be large at around five thousand four hundred thirty seven milliamp hours. This is bigger than the batteries in Samsung’s current foldables. Samsung has already shown the device in South Korea at an event, which makes a December twenty twenty five launch seem very realistic.
The design will be the most interesting part. Since it folds in three layers, it could look very different from anything Samsung has made before. Blass says the phone might be as thin as four point two millimeters when open. When fully folded it could reach around fourteen millimeters, though that sounds a bit doubtful.
Many reports say Samsung will hold an event in early December and may release the phone in early twenty twenty six. But it may not be sold everywhere at first. The United States and India might not get it in the initial rollout.
The Galaxy Z TriFold is expected to be priced well above the current Z Fold models. It could go beyond two lakh thirty thousand rupees depending on the version. People are excited to see how Samsung will handle the software for a tri fold layout and what accessories they plan to offer to make the device more appealing.
