Canada Market Indices open: S&P/TSX flat at 0.00%, Smallcap up 0.35%, TSX 60 slips 0.02%

The S&P/TSX Composite Index opened with a minor dip of -1.11 points, standing at 24,254.95. This index showed limited fluctuation, with highs reaching 24,262.54 and lows touching 24,231.83, translating to a stable 0.00% change.

In contrast, the S&P/TSX Smallcap Index rose by 2.92 points to 829.26, marking an increase of +0.35%.

Similarly, the S&P/TSX Venture Index saw a modest gain, reaching 604.46 with a rise of 1.19 points or +0.20%. The S&P/TSX Completion Index also displayed an upward trend, adding 0.71 points to stand at 1,476.09, representing a +0.05% change.

However, the S&P/TSX 60 Index showed a slight decline, dropping by 0.26 points to 1,450.12, a decrease of -0.02%.
