Hamas has released another 12 hostages today, which includes ten Israeli and two foreign nationals. The report has been confirmed by Israeli Defense Forces (IDF), who said the hostages are on the way to Israeli territory.

Today’s planned release is a part of two-day extension to the original four-day truce agreement. The Israeli officials had put forward that the country is willing to extend the deal indefinitely as long as they are receiving at least ten of their hostages on a daily basis.

Israeli media and humanitarian news agencies are reported that the group of hostages were handed over to International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC).

In the group of twelve hostages, who were freed today, the two foreign nationals were Thai citizens.

Thai nationals have been consistent in being freed from Gaza since the beginning of the truce. This is probably due to the fact that Thailand government is in direct touch with Iran and have managed to strike a parallel deal.

The reports have stated that Iran being a primary funder to Hamas, must have had a say in it.
