Gold price falls 2.24% but remains up 78.23% year on year

Year to date, gold has climbed 20.24%. The yearly growth is even stronger at 78.23%. This shows that despite short term corrections, gold has delivered solid returns over the past year.

Silver plunges 7.68% while platinum slides 8.91%

Copper dips 2.08% as lithium corrects 6.67% from recent highs

Copper is trading at 5.7716 USD per pound. It declined 2.08% in a day. Weekly losses stand at 2.99%. Monthly decline is 1.66%. Year to date growth is modest at 1.25%. On a yearly basis, copper is up 26.48%.

Lithium is priced at 161000 CNY per ton. It dropped 11500 CNY in a day. That is a 6.67% fall. Weekly gains remain at 5.92%. Monthly growth stands at 5.23%. Year to date, lithium has jumped 35.87%. Over the year, it has surged 114.81%.

Steel is trading at 3074.00 CNY per ton with a 0.49% daily gain. But it is down 6.34% year on year. HRC steel stands at 1014.99 USD per ton. It slipped 0.10% in a day but remains up 11.05% yearly.

Iron ore in USD is at 99.81 per ton, up 0.76% today. Yet it shows a 6.83% decline year to date. Iron ore in CNY is priced at 753.50, down 0.13% daily and 4.56% lower year to date.

Silicon trades at 8170.00 CNY per ton with a 1.33% daily drop. Yearly losses stand at 21.74%. Scrap steel is at 374.50 USD per ton with a slight 0.13% daily rise and a 3.03% yearly gain. Titanium remains steady at 45.50 CNY per kg with a 3.19% yearly decline.

The data shows a clear pattern. Short term volatility is high. Daily losses are visible across gold, silver, platinum and copper. But the yearly numbers remain strong for precious and battery metals.
