The Great Khali joins Bharatiya Janata Party

The former WWE star The Great Khali joins BJP before the Punjab elections.

Professional wrestler and former World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) star Dalip Singh Rana, famously known as The Great Khali joined Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Thursday. The wrestler reached the BJP headquarters in Delhi today and was welcomed into the party fold in the inaugural ceremony at 1 pm.

He is included in the BJP party just before the Punjab assembly polls which will start on 14th February and the votes will be counted on March 10th. The 49-year-old wrestler is a former World Heavyweight Champion who was included in the WWE Hall of Fame class of 2021 which took place in the United States.

The Great Khali stands 7foot 1 tall and scales at 157 kg, the wrestler made his presence felt when he first made an appearance in the WWE universe in 2006. During his time in the WWE universe, the Indian wrestler fought with the greatest wrestling players and won the World Heavyweight Championship in the year 2007.

Due to his popularity in the WWE, the wrestler also featured as a cameo in many Hollywood movies like getting Smart, MacGruber, and The Longest Yard. He also appeared on the Indian reality show Bigg Boss(season 4).

The Great Khali is a resident of the small town of Dhiraina in the Simaur district of Himachal Pradesh. After retiring from WWE, Khali started Continental Wrestling Entertainment (CWE), which is an Indian professional wrestling promotion and training academy.

The Punjab elections will start on the 14th of February and will end on 10th March.
