Roger Federer is in the house! Swiss visits Wimbledon after an year

The 20 times Grand Slam champion visits his second home after a year of his quarterfinals exit.

Roger Federer was spotted in a black suit at 2022 Wimbledon, a year after his departure in the quarterfinals against Hubert Hurkacz from the third Grand Slam.

On Sunday, July 3, Swiss legendary player, a 20-time Grand Slam winner, was seen at SW19, indicating that he was back at Wimbledon. Federer was present at The Championships, a big ceremony commemorating the Center Court’s 100th anniversary was held on Day 7 of the ongoing grass-court Grand Slam.

The former World No. 1 was seen at the SW19 in London with security personnel accompanying him while sporting a black suit and black sunglasses. At Wimbledon, Federer drew the eye of spectators and photographers while sporting a smart appearance. Notably, Federer lost in the quarterfinals of Wimbledon last year, ending his last competitive tennis match.

Former champions and well-known figures will attend Wimbledon’s celebration of the centenary of the Center Court, which will include reliving some of the iconic events in history. Playing on the tournament’s middle Sunday has only recently become a new tradition.

Following the All England Club’s acquisition of the nearby Wimbledon Park Golf Club, where a new show court will be situated, the Wimbledon property is slated for expansion over the upcoming years.

Notably, the AFP news agency reported that schoolchildren were asked to envision what Centre Court will look like after 100 years.
