Here is who replaces Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal following Spaniard’s withdrawal from Laver Cup after Day 1

Federer played his last match on day 1 while Nadal withdrew after the doubles match for “personal reasons”.

To say that Berrettini has prevailed in the English city, where it is official that he will replace Roger Federer in the singles this weekend, would be an understatement as huge as the Italian’s strong serve.

Among Berrettini’s career highlights are playing in his first and only Grand Slam final at the famed SW19 postcode in sports a year ago as well as going undefeated in two Queen’s Club on grass matches and reaching the second week of a Grand Slam at Wimbledon.

There, which also happens to be the location for this weekend’s Laver Cup, he made his 2019 ATP Finals debut. On the other hand, Rafael Nadal, who withdrew after his doubles clash with Federer against Jack Sock and Frances Tiafoe, will be replaced by Cameron Norrie.
