
Robert Lewandowski who is also from the same country as Iga Swiatek congratulates the No. 1 player as she won her third career Grand Slam title.
World No. 1 Swiatek joined some very rare company with her 6-2, 7-6 (5) triumph against Ons Jabeur in the US Open final on Saturday. She is now one of just two women in the Open Era to have won her first three Grand Slam finals in straight sets, including American superstar Lindsay Davenport.
Meanwhile, countrymen Lewandowski was quick enough to pen kind words through his official social media handle. Barcelona striker Lewandowski called Swiatek “a great champion” and expressed his happiness about the championships.

The La Liga forward was also in the crowd to support Swiatek at the French Open final this year where she won her second Grand Slam on clay in Paris.
