No. 1 WTA player Iga Swiatek has reached the final of the Roland Garros tournament beating Daria Kasatkina in straight sets with a score of 6-2, 6-1. This is the second time the Polish professional has advanced to a Grand Slam final in Paris France, the first was at the same competition in 2020 where she won her first major.
With the win over Kasatkina, World No. 1 Swiatek has extended her winning streak to 34 matches equalising with Serena Williams in 2013 and one win away from parallelling Venus Williams in 2000. The 21-year old from Poland awaits the winner of the other semifinals Coco Gauff and Martina Trevisa.
