French Open: Iga Swiatek wins her 2nd Grand Slam beating Coco Gauff at Roland Garros 2022

Swiatek has won five WTA 1000 title and a Grand Slam back to back this season.

Unstoppable World No. 1 Iga Swiatek has done it again! The No. 1 WTA player wins another career Grand Slam beating Coco Gauff in straight sets with a score of 6-1, 6-3. The Pole had won her first Grand Slam at the same tournament in 2020.

The newly turned 21 year old from Poland has outlasted some quality players this season. Previously, she beat Ons Jabeur at the Italian Open to win the title. Came past top seed Aryna Sabalenka at the Stuttgart Open. Four times Grand Slam champion and former World No. 1 Naomi Osaka at Miami Open was beaten by Swiatek. At Indian Wells Masters and Qatar Open, Swiatek beat Maria Sakkari and Anett Kontaveit as the start of her unbeatable streak.

Swiatek has been unstoppable this season so far and unbeatable on clay. The player has bagged five back to back WTA 1000 titles and now another Grand Slam in Paris, France. The Polish professional with her semifinal win over Daria Kasatkina had equalled her winning streak with Serena Williams and now with her final victory over Gauff, she has extended her winning streak to 35 matches parallelling Venus Williams.
