French Open: Alexander Zverev cries of pain, rolls his ankle during an ongoing match against Rafael Nadal

Zverev had beaten Carlos Alcaraz to reach the semifinals of the French Open 2022.

Alexander Zverev accidentally rolls his ankle during his semifinal match against Rafael Nadal at the Roland Garros 2022. The No. 3 ATP player was seen crying on the court which seemed his injury to be serious.

The incident happened at the end of the second set and the German is forced to leave the pitch. Apparently, his condition doesn’t look like he will be back on the court. Anything will be revealed after his examinations.

Zverev had beaten tournament favourite 19-year-old Carlos Alcaraz of Spain to reach the semifinals of the French Open 2022 and fix a clash with 21-times Grand Slam champion while the Spaniard came past World No. 1 Novak Djokovic in an intense match that lasted for four hours and 10 minutes in four sets.

It is to see if Zverev will be back on the pitch or be forced to retire to let Nadal advance to the final of the clay major.
