Zverev thinks Australian Open is at an interesting stage and anyone could win it amongst some of the favrouites.

Alexander Zverev the Olympic Champion put forward his name on Saturday among a small group of players to win the Australian Open which now is turning out to be an interesting one if the current champion Novak Djokovic is not allowed to play the open.

The German who is currently seeded 3  included Spanish great Rafael Nadal, Daniil Medvedev from Russia, and Stefanos Tsitsipas of Greece among the favorites to win the Australian Open.

Novak who is unvaccinated is facing deportation with his desire of playing the first-round match next week rapidly declining.

According to Zverev if the Serbian International does take to the court, he  would be the favorite. “That’s just the way it is. But many others have started to play well here from the last year,” Zverev said to AFP as reported by TOI.

We should take a look at Medvedev & Tsitsipas who have been playing extremely well here over the last few years. and also Zverev has been playing very well in the last six months.

Zverev had won his second ATP Finals title in November, after a brilliant performance to beat Medvedev who was world number 2, and also adding a gold medal at the Tokyo Olympics Last year.

He will be looking forward to carrying his form and momentum in the Australian Open and fighting for the title amongst the best and is one of the favorites to clinch the Australian Open.
