Argentina’s national football team defeated France in the final game of the FIFA World Cup 2022 by 4-2 on penalties. The game was an absolute thriller. As Lionel Messi said earlier that this will be his last World Cup game, but the Argentina national football team’s manager Lionel Scaloni wants him to play more.
The Argentine manager wants to see Messi in the next World Cup as well. Lionel Messi announced ahead of the finals that he won’t play another World Cup but will keep serving the nation and won’t be retiring so early.
“I think we should keep the number 10 jersey prepared for the next World Cup if he (Messi) feels like playing. He earned the right to do whatever he wants with his career. What he transmits to his teammates is incredible. I have never seen such an influential person in the changing room,” said Lionel Scaloni on Lionel Messi after Argentina lift the World Cup trophy on Sunday, 18 December as reported by ESPN.
