Newcastle United stepped onto the UEFA Champions League stage once more in almost 20 years. The Magpies faced off against AC Milan in a highly anticipated match that ultimately ended in a dull 0-0 draw.
For Newcastle fans, the return to the League was a special occasion, regenrating memories of the club’s glory days in the late ’90s and early 2000s. However, the clash against AC Milan left much to be desired in terms of entertainment.
AC Milan, a European powerhouse, were in their stadium with high expectations and a formidable squad. Throughout the match, they displayed their attacking qualities, creating numerous opportunities to break the deadlock. The Milan, however, couldn’t capitalize on these chances, much to the relief of the Newcastle faithful.
