It was announced that the Brazilian defender Marcelo will be leaving the club after playing 16 long seasons for the Los Blancos. The farewell for Marcelo was conducted by the club on Monday as he has played a major part in the club’s history. The Brazilian star had joined Real Madrid back in 2007.

Ramos claimed that the salary was not the issue but he wanted a two-year extension eventually when he opted for the fixed contract deal, he was told that the offer had expired thus making him leave Madrid.
Ramos and Marcelo together have played a total of 15 seasons at the club. This decorated duo has played for Real Madrid from 2007 till 2021. The Spanish centre-back and the Brazilian star have won a total of 22 trophies together at Real Madrid making them the most versatile duo in the club’s history.
