Paul Pogba back to Juventus on a free transfer, deal to be signed in July

Paul Pogba was already confirmed to leave Manchester United after 6 years of stay at the club.

French midfielder Paul Pogba will be joining his former club Juventus on a free transfer from Manchester United.  He is expected to have his Juventus medicals by the first week of July. The 29-year-old will be returning to Turin after staying at Manchester United for 6 long years. His contract with United will be coming to an end by the end of June.  Manchester United had already confirmed in the first week of June that the 2018 World Cup winner will be leaving the club on a free transfer by the time his contract runs out.

Pogba will be coming to Juventus for the second time in his career. He had left the Italian club in 2016 for a fee of €89m back to Manchester United. Pogba had started his career at the Manchester United youth academy and had only made a couple of appearances for the senior side. But by 2012 he had left United as he did not sign another contract and went to Juventus on a free transfer. He played there till 2016 and afterwards returned to the city of Manchester again.

He was being linked to many top teams in Europe like the Champions League winner Real Madrid and the French giants Paris Saint-Germain. But considering the amount of success he had during his time spent at Juventus, he decided to come back to Italy. With Juventus, he had won the Serie A 4 times and had won the Coppa Italia twice. He had become a monstrous player back in Italy but he was not able to carry that momentum at Old Trafford. During his six years at the club, Pogba only managed to win the Europa League and Carabao Cup.
