On Wednesday night, the UEFA Champions League’s round of 16 tie continued as Chelsea was against Borussia Dortmund and on the other hand Benfica was against Club Brugge. Benfica sealed a 2-0 victory over Club Brugge in the game. It was a dominating performance from the Red side and the side that are in good form this season.
After this game, Benfica are expected to go further in the league and Club Brugge’s UEFA Champions League journey of this year is expected to end after the second leg tie. Benfica has a two goal cushion going into the second leg of the round of 16.
Both the goals were scored in the second half of the game as Joao Mario scored the first in 51st and then David Neres in the 88th to secure the win. This was an exciting week in the UEFA Champions League and will be more exciting in the coming weeks.
