Barcelona’s new number 10, Ansu Fati is finally cleared by the medical team and is to be included in the squad against the league game against Levante.
The squad before the game against Levante on Sunday was announced a day before by the FCB manager and it has taken the whole footballing world by surprise because of the inclusion of Ansu Fati. The young Spaniard has had a fantastic record in the short stint of time that he has spent on the field of Barcelona. Since his debut in the 2019/20 season, he has played just 43 games and had already managed to score 13 goals in them along with 3 assists. He has beaten several age records like: he was the youngest debutant for Barcelona at UEFA Champions League and Goal Scorer in La Liga.
What makes his return special is the fact that he was handed over the prestigious number 10, which was owned previously by the club’s all-time highest goal scorer Lionel Messi. The offering of this almost sacred number to Fati makes him the incumbent talisman of this sinking Barcelona side. This means that there will be a lot of burden on the young shoulders of Fati. The news is still a great relief for the Barcelona fan as his inclusion to the team will be a huge boost to the side that is languishing towards the middle of the table in this earlier stage of the season. With players like Sergio Aguero and Ousmane Dembele out by injury, many fans will be expecting Fati to showcase his great talent and revive his club from this muddle of a situation.
Barcelona is to host Levante on the 26th of September at Camp Nou.
