After winning the toss, Royal Challengers Bengaluru chose to bowl first, sending Sunrisers Hyderabad in to bat.
During the match, there was a tense moment in the 14th over involving Heinrich Klaasen. He was clearly not happy with the umpire’s decision after being dismissed on the very first ball bowled by Romario Shepherd, who had just come into the attack. Klaasen felt that Phil Salt might have touched the boundary rope while taking the catch, which raised doubts in his mind.
The third umpire carefully checked multiple replays, but there was no clear evidence to prove whether the rope was touched or not. At one point, the umpire mentioned that there was no visible movement of the boundary cushions, which usually indicates contact. Since there was no definite proof to overturn the on-field call, the decision stayed as OUT, even though it remained a close and debatable call.
Klaasen looked disappointed as he walked back after scoring 31 runs off 22 balls, including one six and two fours.At that stage, Royal Challengers Bengaluru were 126 for 3 in 13.1 overs.
