DeMar DeRozan had his 7th straight 35+ point performance against the Kings, scoring 38 points. He also had 6 rebounds and 6 assists, leading the Bulls to victory. With the performance, DeRozan became the only player in NBA history to score 35+ points in NBA history while shooting at least 50% from the field.
The streak made him the sole player to put up the stat. Lakers and Philadelphia legend, Wilt Chamberlain had a similar stat but he only did it for 6 consecutive games while DeMar did it for 7 straight games. Another stat associated with DeRozan’s historic achievement is that he only took 4 3 pointers through the streak. That is extremely impressive considering the dominance of the 3 points shot in high-scoring games. It just goes to show you that you can be a great scorer even in today’s game without shooting a lot of 3 pointers.
It happened. DeMar DeRozan is the first player in NBA history with 35+ points on 50% shooting in 7 straight games.

With the win, the Bulls win their 5th straight game and rise to the 1 seed in the eastern conference. Both teams had 5 players with double-digit scoring but the Bulls ultimately took the W with a second 30 point scorer in guard Coby White ( 31points, 6 assists, and 5 rebounds). The Kings were led by De’Aaron Fox who had 33 points, 9 assists, and 6 rebounds.
The Bulls are one of the most dangerous teams this season. The team has gone on to win 3 straight games with their other star Zach Lavine being out due to ‘ left knee injury management. They have also had key pieces like Lonzo Ball, Alex Caruso, and Patrick Williams out for most of the season. Despite the injuries the roster has had, they have managed to maintain a top spot in the Eastern Conference and are now the 1 seed in the east.
The team has been led by DeMar DeRozan’s fantastic performances throughout the season, including his current 7 game streak of 35+ points. While I do believe the team needs to be healthy and requires more time together before they could contend for a championship, the Bulls are one of the most dangerous teams in the league, and every team that faces needs to come with their A-game to beat them.
