
Aston Martin is set to replace Sebastian Vettel with Nico Hulkenberg due to the positive testing of the German in Bahrain with days to go for the first race of the F1 season. Hulk Hulkenberg was the reserve driver for Aston Martin who will now carry the team from FP1 in the AMR22. He has filled in thrice for F1, including Perez in Silverstone last year.
Daniel Ricciardo from Mclaren also tested positive a week ago but have recovered from COVID-19 and is set to join the team according to the statement released by Mclaren which said, “Daniel will return to the paddock ready to compete in this weekend’s Bahrain GP”.
The Bahrain Grand Prix is scheduled for the 18th of March at the Bahrain International Circuit.
