Mercedes team principal, Toto Wolff, has expressed his belief that other Formula 1 teams are missing out on Mick Schumacher’s talent as the German driver struggles to secure a full-time seat for the 2024 season.
Currently serving as Mercedes’ reserve driver, Schumacher faced a challenging stint with Haas in the past, receiving criticism for costly crashes.
Wolff, however, feels that Schumacher was not provided with the right environment to thrive at Haas and expects him to excel in a different team.
With limited openings available for the 2024 season, Schumacher’s chances of a full-time return to the grid appear slim. While Wolff cannot force Mercedes’ customer teams to take on Schumacher, he continues to speak highly of the young driver’s abilities and respects each team’s authority to make their own driver decisions.
