F1: Ocon optimistic about Alpine’s prospects on normal tracks

Alpine’s Esteban Ocon is optimistic about the upcoming races on “normal tracks,” believing they will provide the team with better opportunities to compete for higher points finishes.

Despite their ambitions to achieve more podium finishes and challenge for championships, Alpine has only secured one podium in the 2023 season so far. Out of the seven races held, only two were conducted on non-street circuits.

Ocon is hopeful that the team’s familiarity with these traditional circuits from previous years will work in their favor.

Reflecting on last year’s performance at one of these tracks, Ocon mentioned his fifth or sixth-place finish and the strong performance of the car. He expressed his desire to replicate that success in the upcoming races.
