The Ferrari Academy driver, currently ranked sixth in the F2 drivers’ standings, showcased his talent by setting the fastest time among the rookies during the session. Bearman’s lap of 1m 21.313s was just over two-tenths off the pace of veteran Nico Hulkenberg in the other Haas car.
