Red Bull Motorsport Advisor, Helmut Marko, has hinted at significant changes for the AlphaTauri team in the next Formula 1 season.
The junior Red Bull outfit has struggled this year, currently sitting at the bottom of the Constructors’ standings with only two points.
While driver Yuki Tsunoda has shown improvement, rookie teammate Nyck de Vries has faced difficulties and is fighting to secure his place on the grid for next season. Marko acknowledged the need for change and expressed dissatisfaction with de Vries’ performance.
Additionally, AlphaTauri will see leadership transitions, with Team Principal Franz Tost retiring and being replaced by Laurent Mekies and Peter Bayer.
The team is also planning to shift its approach, focusing on following Red Bull Racing and utilizing their resources rather than designing their own car.
