Merih Demiral has made strong allegations against match officials following Al Nassr’s 2-0 win over Al Ahli in a heated Saudi Pro League clash.

Speaking after the final whistle, the Al Ahli centre-back did not hold back. He claimed that refereeing decisions played a key role in the result and suggested there was clear bias in favor of Al Nassr.

Demiral pointed to a specific incident involving Kingsley Coman. He stated that the challenge left him close to serious injury. “Check my foot, Coman almost broke it. This is a shame,” Demiral said during a post-match interview.

The defender went further, questioning the neutrality of the officials. He claimed that referees appeared to favor Al Nassr during key moments of the game. According to Demiral, such decisions influenced the flow and final outcome of the match.

Despite his frustration, Demiral also expressed pride in his team’s performance. He insisted that Al Ahli do not rely on external help to win matches. “Al Ahli always win games and nobody helps. We will always be at the top and we are proud to be Al Ahli,” he added.

The match itself saw Al Nassr control key phases and secure a comfortable 2-0 victory. However, Demiral’s comments have shifted attention away from the result and toward officiating standards in the league.
