Benjamin Šeško expressed mixed emotions after scoring a dramatic late equaliser for Manchester United in their 1-1 draw against West Ham United at the London Stadium on Sunday.

The Slovenian forward rescued a point for United in the closing stages of the match, preventing defeat and extending the team’s unbeaten run under interim manager Michael Carrick. However, Šeško made it clear that personal success meant little without a team victory.

“I’m happy with the finish [goal], but I’m not happy with the draw. We were a bit unlucky, but we fought,” Šeško said after the match. “We always want three points, and tonight we showed character until the end.”

West Ham had taken the lead earlier in the second half following a swift counter-attacking move that caught United’s defence off guard. The home side looked set to claim all three points as they defended deep and limited United’s chances for much of the game.

Manchester United pushed forward relentlessly in the final minutes, and their persistence was finally rewarded when Šeško found space inside the box and calmly finished to level the score at 1-1.
