Hansi Flick has delivered an emotional tribute to Robert Lewandowski as the legendary Polish striker prepares to leave FC Barcelona at the end of the 2025/26 season.

In his latest comments, the Barcelona manager confirmed that Lewandowski has already said his goodbyes inside the dressing room. “He said goodbye to everyone and said that the time he spent here in Barcelona was wonderful for him,” Flick revealed.

Flick, who previously worked with Lewandowski at Bayern Munich and later at Barcelona, spoke warmly about their successful partnership: “I worked with Robert for four years, and we won 9 titles together. All the titles I achieved were with him. For me, it’s a great honor to have worked with him, because he’s an incredibly professional player. I’ve never seen anything like him before.”

The 37-year-old striker’s contract expires this summer. After four productive years at the club — during which he scored prolifically and helped win multiple La Liga titles — Lewandowski has decided it is time for a new chapter. Reports suggest interest from Saudi Pro League clubs, with Al Hilal among the frontrunners.

Flick praised Lewandowski’s dedication, noting how the veteran gives everything for his body every single day. The German coach highlighted the mutual respect between them, calling their collaboration a privilege.

Barcelona fans are expected to give Lewandowski a special farewell when the team hosts Real Betis in their final home match of the season. As the club looks to rebuild its attack with younger forwards, Lewandowski leaves behind a legacy as one of the most clinical strikers in modern football
