Indian pacer and an outstanding performer of the 1st ODI against Zimbabwe, Deepak Chahar was not included in the playing XI of the second ODI despite the Indian management’s decision to not experiment with anything new under the guidance of VVS Laxman.
The rumours earlier stated that Deepak Chahar’s awaited return might have once again been interrupted as the pacer came back after 6 long months just to play a single ODI and thereafter being benched out.
But the reports suggest that Deepak Chahar was just rested out and is 100% fit to take part in the last ODI if team India has plans which include the Rajasthan pacer.
The Rajasthan pacer has been designated a standby for the Asia Cup after recovering from a hamstring injury for more than six months.
