West Indies vs England: Skipper Moeen Ali is “confident” to come back in the series

Moeen Ali looks confident to come back in the series.

Moeen Ali stated that team England is pretty confident that they will come back in the series with two more games left to play. England is behind by 1-2 as the hosts dominate the shortest format series. The single match lost by West Indies was lost by just 1 run.

Moeen also appreciated the debutants for their first game and specifically talks about Philip Salt who played very well but couldn’t win the game for his team.

“We’re still confident about making a comeback into the series,” Moeen said in the post-match statement as ANI reports

West Indies have won the third T20 by 20 runs as England batsman struggled hard to chase down the target or 225 runs. Powell’s ton and Pooran’s magic helped the hosts to bring out such a huge score against team England. Tom Banton surely gave a positive start to team England and Philip Salt debuted well by scoring his first fifty in the debut game itself.

Powell and Pooran’s partnership outshined England’s performance as the first innings of the hosts benefited them in both innings. Captain Pollard was able to take crucial wickets.

Powell’s maiden ton and Pooran’s 70 run mark made an impact as the hosts reached the score of 224 which was their highest in T20 against England.

Tom Banton looked promising with his bat. The runs he was converting looked magnificent as his knock of 73 runs off 39 balls gave hopes to the England fans.

Debutant Philip Salt was able to hit for fours and sixes but team England was probably late and should have started attacking a bit before. Philip has impressed the fans, viewers, and most importantly the team, as he took the match close and also scored some good runs before getting run-out. Philip Salt got out for 57 runs before getting bowled by Romario Shepherd.

England will be thinking something different with the game plan, before coming out to play the fourth T20. Eoin seems unfit and Moeen shall continue to captain the team while the three surprises in the form debutants might have a chance for the next game too.
