The former India U-19 World Cup winning captain, Unmukt Chand is all set to become the first Indian player to partake in Australian Big Bash League. According to the reports of PTI, Chand has signed a contract with the Melbourne Renegade team, for the 2021-22 season.

Earlier this year, the Former India A player decided to retire as an Indian player, and moved to USA. He had a fabulous outing in the U-19 circuit. He was recognized by the world for his knock of 111 in the final of the tournament, for which he was also named as the Man of the Match. After that he spent a long time as a part of the India A side, but sadly could never make it to the senior team. He also represented three IPL franchises namely Delhi Daredevils, Mumbai Indians, and Rajasthan Royals. In his long domestic career in India, he played more than 60 first class matches, yet nothing could click for him to make the transition from domestic to international team.
