Under-19 World Cup: India seal the Semi-Finals with a stunning win

Skipper Yash Dhull and Shaik Rasheed’s knock helped India to reach the U-19 finals.

India won the Super League Semi-Finals with a margin of 96 runs, bowling out team Australia in just 194 runs. The critical partnership of Captain Dhulland Vice-Captain Rasheed helped India to win by a great margin.

Skipper Dhull was awareness the Man of the Match award as his score of 110 runs off 110 balls showed a classical example of handling the pressure and taking responsibility in the crucial game. India was 57-2 when Dhull and Rasheed stood firm and scored runs with a consistent partnership till the end of the innings.

Shaik Rasheed will be unhappy with himself as he was very close to scoring his century but fell short of just 6 runs as he got out in Nisbet’s delivery.

Indian bowlers have always left a spark of impact in every game India U-19 played this season. The Super League Semi-Finals were snatched away from the hands of Australia as Vicky Ostwal bag in 3 wickets along with Ravi Kumar and Nishant Sindhu who took 2 wickets each. Kaushal Tambe and Angkrish Raghuvanshi managed to take 1 wicket each.

Australian opener Campbell looked in sensational form of winning the game but got out in 30 runs, whereas Corey Miller too could not stand for a longer time getting out in 38 runs. Australia seemed to chase the target easily but surprisingly lost 4 wickets with a score of just 83 runs. Lachlan Shaw looked to give Australia a critical come-back in the game but his half-century resulted in no help as the wickets kept falling from the other hand. Lachlan was bowled out by Ravi Kumar, taking the 9th wicket to team Australia. The run-out of Tom Whitney sealed the game as team India reached their fourth consecutive Finals for the ICC U-19 World Cup.
