Justin Langer, the former Australian player and head coach, is expressing his support for India to emerge victorious in the World Test Championship final due to the presence of Virat Kohli at the crease. With India chasing a target of 444 runs, they ended Day 4 at 164/3. The team requires 280 runs on Day 5 within 97 overs. Kohli remains unbeaten on 44, accompanied by Ajinkya Rahane who contributed 20 not out.
Langer acknowledges Kohli’s exceptional skills and believes that as long as he is at the crease, India still has a chance to win the Test match. The Australian team is aware of Kohli’s capabilities and will not relax until they manage to dismiss him.
“Till Virat Kohli is at the crease, India can still win the Test match. Great players produce miracles. Australia will not relax till Kohli’s wicket,” said Justin Langer.
Although India managed to take two early wickets on Saturday, Alex Carey, with an unbeaten 66, and Mitchell Starc, who scored 41 runs, disrupted the plans of Rohit Sharma’s team to wrap up the Australian innings quickly. Eventually, Pat Cummins declared the innings at 270/8, setting up an intriguing final day of play in the Test match.
