Thousands of ticketless fan tried to force their way into the Dubai International stadium during the Afghanistan vs Pakistan match on Friday

A total number of 16,000 tickets were already issued for the match by ICC, yet a huge number of ticketless fans attempted to force their way into the stadium.

They say that Pakistan vs Afghanistan is the biggest rivalry in T20 cricket after India vs Pakistan, it turned out to be true when a mob of thousands of ticketless fans tried to force their way inside the stadium on Friday evening. The event occurred during the Pakistan vs Afghanistan match which was being played at the Dubai International stadium. According to the reports of the Hindustan Times, a total number of 16,000 tickets were already issued for the match by ICC, yet a huge number of ticketless fans attempted to force their way into the stadium.

Later ICC too put out a statement in which they said, “Dubai Police and security staff secured the stadium to ensure the safety of everyone inside and brought in significant additional resources to disperse the crowd and calm the situation.” They have also asked the Emirates Cricket Board to investigate the case more thoroughly, to make sure that nothing like this is repeated in the future.

Coming to the match, it was a close encounter as everyone had expected it to be. Batting first, Afghanistan faced some problems at the start of their innings but finished strong at the end. Their captain Nabi and lower-order batsman Gulbadin put up a good partnership together to take Afghanistan to the score of 147.  Pakistan too struggled at the start of their inning and found momentum at the end of it as they finished the game with an over to spare. Credit to Asif Ali who played a blistering knock of 25 runs in just 7 balls to see his side home.
