Team India prepare ahead of the series opener against West Indies

India to play West Indies in a three-match T20I series after winning the ODI series.

After an action-packed TATA IPL mega action 2022 in Bengaluru which concluded on Sunday, where many players were bought by the ten franchises available at the auction for the upcoming season of TATA IPL 2022.

Now the focus shifts towards the three-match T20I series between India and West Indies which is scheduled to start on the 16th of February. The men in blue have arrived in Kolkata and are looking forward to the challenge. The team led by skipper Rohit Sharma has hit the ground running in Eden gardens for the training session last night, ahead of the first T20I match against West Indies.

The players looked to have fun and are focused on the fielding drills which were conducted last night at the training ground.

The Indian team whitewashed the visitors in the three-match ODI series which was held at Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad and will be looking to build upon their previous performances and rectify the errors made in the ODI series.

Rishabh Pant will be the vice-captain for the upcoming T20I series against West Indies and the skipper will be Rohit Sharma also the team had to replace Washington Sundar with Kuldeep Yadav who is suffering from a hamstring injury ahead of the series.

India will lock horns with West Indies on 16th February at Eden Gardens for the series opener.
