New Zealand stormed into the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026 final after a commanding performance against South Africa in the first semi-final, powered by a sensational century from opener Finn Allen.

Chasing 170 after South Africa posted 169/8 in 20 overs, New Zealand completed the target comfortably, finishing at 173/1 in just 12.5 overs to seal a nine-wicket victory.

The highlight of the match was a breathtaking innings from Finn Allen, who smashed what was described during the match commentary as the fastest century in T20 World Cup history. Allen remained unbeaten on 100 off just 33 balls, striking 10 fours and 8 sixes and scoring at a remarkable strike rate of 303.03.

The milestone moment came when Marco Jansen bowled to Allen and the Kiwi batter struck a boundary to reach his hundred, triggering celebrations both on the field and in the New Zealand dugout.
